A Little History about Melissa and Doug
Melissa and Doug Bernstein started
this toy company in 1988 when they were both 24 years olds old an dating.
Doug Bernstein, a graduate of the University of Connecticut in 1985 and
Melissa, a graduate of Duke University have created one of the nations
leading toy companies of developmental and educational children's toys.
Melissa and Doug have over 200 employees in the United States and 1000
employees in the East Asia, . This rapidly growing company, now is moving
from their current location Westport Ave. in Norwalk to a building almost

When asked what makes a great toy Doug states, "play value" he explains
"When Melissa and I go to visit friends' home, we don't want them to tell
us they have 15 of our toys in their toy chest, we want to see our toys
spilled all over their bedroom carpet, being used." Play value mean the

In an ever changing technological age, children are bombarded with
